Xavier ARNAUDO is a French citizen with more than 20 years experience in the financial industry in New York, Paris, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Prior to founding C4, he occupied senior roles in equities, derivatives and prime brokerage at BNP Paribas. He founded C4 Capital for New Commons, a non-profit impact investing intermediary platform, in 2015 with the support of Evolution Financial Group. Over the past 4 years, C4 has developed a number of advocacy, research, consulting and advisory programs designed to grow market capacity for impact investment and sustainable finance in Japan. C4 is one of the few intermediaries in Japan committed to promote innovative finance for social impact and was shortlisted as one of the top 100 innovators for inclusive innovation by Forbes Japan.
Xavier Arnaudo graduated with a master in finance and economics from the institute of political studies (IEP Paris) and a Law degree from the Sorbonne University. He also attended multiple executive education program in Oxford University, Harvard Business School and INSEAD. He is a member of the Board of Hands on Tokyo.
In his role as Executive Director, Takahiro is responsible for managing the various partnerships C4 has as well as outreach programs designing forums, lecturing and advocating about innovative finance and impact investing in Japan.
Since he joined C4 in 2016, he has been working with a wide range of regional partners to support efforts to mobilize private capital for regional revitalization and grow the field of local social entrepreneurs. He is committed to bringing together multiple partners to create a forward looking growth model working across generational, geographical and cultural differences that maximizes inclusive and sustainable value creation for society. He is a member of Japan Global Steering Group on impact investing.
Takahiro Fushimi graduated with a bachelor degree in law from Keio University. Previous work experiences include General Electric (Financial Management Program) and EVOLUTION FINANCIAL GROUP (Vice President). He was recently selected as Leader of Tomorrow by 49th St. Gallen Symposium “Capital for Purpose”.
Tomoa first joined C4 as an intern in 2017 before becoming a full time employee in 2019. She single-handedly managed C4’s nationwide survey of the NPO sector designed to provide a thorough analysis of the social sector capacity gaps in Japan. Over a period of 8 months, C4 screened more than 32,000 NPOs and collected data from 1,000++ organizations on NPO outreach and fundraising capabilities, program capacity, staffing challenges and impact. At C4, Tomoa specializes in designing impact measurement and evaluation frameworks and has extensive experience with the social sector.
Tomoa Nozawa graduated from Osaka University’s school of Foreign Language Studies with a major in Danish. During university she lived in Denmark for a year studying sociology and gender equality, volunteered in Malawi to support fundraising efforts of an NGO focusing on raising awareness of HIV/AIDS in the region.
